Coffee connects us, but the communities who grow it are being left behind
Coffee connects us across continents, but the communities who grow it are being left behind. In regions where coffee is cultivated, families are facing a daily crisis: no access to clean water. This isn't just a humanitarian emergency, it’s a threat to the people, environments, and traditions that sustain the global coffee supply. As water becomes scarcer, so does the future of coffee as we know it.
Our mission
Since 2011, Project Waterfall has brought clean water, sanitation, and hygiene to over 80,000 people across seven coffee-growing countries. Our work restores health, strengthens resilience, and opens doors, especially for women and girls, by removing the burden of water scarcity. By partnering with industry and local organisations, we ensure our impact lasts far beyond the installation of a tap or well.
2025: a year of ambition
2025 marks our most ambitious year to date: connecting multiple businesses and organisations to research and fund long term improvements in coffee wastewater systems in Ethiopia alongside hosting water-focussed events and continuing our existing fundraising activities in partnership with WaterAid.
Introducing: The Project Waterfall Society
